I grew up in that sweet spot. The time before the internet and apple devices and the time after. When I was a kid, I would walk to the store to buy some candy or run around my neighborhood playing, with not a care in the world.

Up until a week ago my skincare routine consisted of two products. Then I got some rando pimples and forgot about my spot treatments. I haven’t used them lately because I think the change in my diet has really helped clear my skin. I hardly get hormonal break outs these days. But one decided to show her lovely face on my jaw line and I had to bring out the soldiers.

I think I’ve had a midlife crisis in the in the last two decades of my life. In my mid 20s I felt like I had achieved everything. I graduated college. I had a master’s degree. I bought my own condo

I’m going to be honest, it was hard for me to come up with these things because maybe I wasn’t as observant or in relationship with Jesus as I should have been. Towards the end of the year, I felt a shift that I wanted to hear the voice of God more and I was figuring out how to do it.

It’s that time of year again! And I thought I, could get ahead of Christmas, the busy shopping, the post office lines, Amazon shipping, and thinking about what to get everyone. I forget stockings every year.

As a teen, I remember calling a friend. No answer. I called another friend. No answer. Then I’d try another friend. No answer. I remember having deep fears that they were all hanging out without me, purposefully not answering the phone.

We recently went on a trip to visit my in-laws in Hawaii. It’s about a six hour flight. I knew the more snacks the better. It’s the worst when you have kids complaining about being hungry and you ran out of snacks. Trust me, I’ve been there.

The weather has been super interesting lately. It was below zero for weeks. Now, it’s been above freezing temperatures and the snow is melting. It’s way too early for a false spring! But I’m so hopeful it’s for real. 😂

The snow has been n-a-s-t-y. It’s been wet and heavy and takes a million years to plow. My dad broke his snow blower and my husband called it ‘old man heart attack snow’.

Stocking stuffers are actually my least favorite thing to do for the holidays. I usually forget about them. One year I actually forgot to fill my husband’s stocking. I had to run to the store the night before Christmas and get some goodies.

You can thank the Target dollar section for making filling up an advent calendar *so easy*. (Thank you Target!) However, sometimes I am even cheaper than cheap and like to spend those free dollars because an advent calendar can add up to be quite spendy (depending on what you want to put in it).

Well it has officially reached freezing temperatures and the frost is here. The ground is a frozen brick. I am a frozen brick. We will be cold until April. There’s nothing to do in the cottage garden at this point.

The leaves have finally fallen! We had a late start to summer. So naturally we had a late start to fall. Last year the snow had already fallen and I didn’t have a chance to rake up all my leaves which killed a patch of our grass. Not cool winter.

Copenhagen is well known for their bikers. Not the Harley Davidson motor bikers that cruise in packs. These bikers have ten speeds, handlebar break controls (unless you’re a beach cruiser biker, then you back pedal to stop) and may or may not wear a helmet.

I have dedicated my life to getting rid of the equisetum out of my yard! I’m not joking. I. will. win! But let’s back it up a bit.

I think I was going to lose my mind. 🤯 The constant clutter, constantly putting things away, cleaning up etc. was driving me insane. I get an actual physical reaction of stress and anxiety when I look around and see crap everywhere.

Our kid’s playroom has morphed into many things. First it was a hybrid extra guest room/nursery. Then it was a guest room slash my Poshmark reselling room. Then it was just a playroom. Now it is an art room playroom. And here is where I think it will remain for quite some time.

I decided to create a capsule wardrobe for my children. I was getting tired of their clothes and I wanted to make it easier for me and for them to pick out their clothes. I asked my three year old what colors she liked wearing the most and she said pink and blue. So I went from there.
