The Best School Supplies We Love

We don’t use a ton of school materials for homeschooling at the moment. I like to keep it quite simple. E takes a science enrichment class once a week so she needs some school materials for that. Otherwise, our school supply needs are pretty basic. Here are some school supplies we use quite regularly.

1. Dry erase pocket sleeves

We use these as white boards, for reference sheets, and for traceables.

2. ZIPIT pencil box

It holds up to 60 pens or pencils. We use it for all kinds of supplies like pencils, markers, scissors, glue etc.

3. Crayola twistables

They are softer than regular crayons. Emme says she likes them better than regular crayons because they don’t break as easily.

4. Artist Loft 36 Watercolor Paint Set

This set is very cheap and the paint gives off an unpleasant odor; however, the girls like the colors and it doesn’t seem to bother them. The colors are vibrant and the paint lasts a while.

5. L.L. Bean backpack

I love the prints on the L.L. Bean backpacks. They are so adorable, it is hard to choose! It holds all the winter gear and lunchbox. It has lots of pockets to store small items like pens, pencils, scrunchies, mini first aid kit etc. Her water bottle fits securely and doesn’t fall out. It also has the safety reflective tape incase your kids walk to and from school in the dark. 👌🏻

6. Bentgo lunchbox

My daughter says it is pretty easy to open on her own. The tray comes out and can go in the dishwasher. The seal cleans easily too and I haven’t had any problems with mold yet. The food juices have yet to leak everywhere unlike others I have tried so the seal must be pretty darn good. Sometime you can find these at the thrift store for a few bucks! That’s how I found the unicorn one. 😁

7. THERMOS Funtainers

I have tried many kid’s water bottles. These are by far the best. Every part comes apart and is washable. 🤩 I like the handles in the lids that make it easy for kids to carry too. THERMOS also has replacement pieces so if you thrift one and it doesn’t have the mouth piece or straw you can get a replacement for cheapy-cheap.
