-2x orange construction paper

-brown construction paper

-green construction paper

-orange tissue paper

-yellow tissue paper

-red tissue paper

-2x contact paper

-scissors

HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN SUNCATCHER:

1. Fold orange construction paper in half. Cut a large backwards C-shape on the fold.

2. Cut a smaller backwards C-shape on the fold, on the inside of the cut you just made. You should end up with a pumpkin shaped frame.

3. Repeat steps 1 & 2. (2x total)

4. Fold contact paper and cut a backwards C-shape slightly larger than the inside of the pumpkin frame. Repeat again. (2x total)

5. Peel one contact paper and lay flat, sticky side up.

6. Lay one pumpkin frame on top of the sticky side of the contact paper.

7. Cut red, orange, and yellow tissue paper into small rectangles.

8. Place tissue paper on the sticky side of the contact paper.

9. Cover tissue paper with the other piece of contact paper once complete.

10. Cut a thick rectangle from brown construction paper to make a stem.

11. Glue the stem onto the inside of the pumpkin frame.

12. Glue the second pumpkin frame on top of the other pumpkin frame.

13. Cut a leaf from the green construction paper and glue next to the stem.

14. Tape the pumpkin to a window.

Tidbits: If your child knows how to use scissors you can draw the lines for the pumpkin frames, stem, and leaf for them to cut.

To save time, cut tissue paper ahead of time. Draw outlines for cutting ahead of time.
